Hansqua is a village surrounded by tea gardens, situated along the national Highway no.31. Majority of the local population belongs to different tribal groups.
Holy Cross community was founded in the year 1993 on 17th January. Its sole purpose was to empower the women of the locality, provide hostel facilities to the higher secondary girls of St. Peter’s school. Later on sensing the need for educating the economically poor children of the surrounding villages Holy Cross sisters began a pre- primary school. Now the school has classes up to four with around 300 children.
There are 06 sisters engaged in education, social work and other empowerment activities.
