The seed of Holy Cross mission in Uttar Palash was sown in the year 2021 with a humble beginning. The School officially commenced on 2 February, 2022, with a single student, marking a new chapter in the community's educational endeavors. As the School progressed, the foundation stone of the new School building was blessed on 8 May, 2023.
At present, we are 4 sisters in the community, engaged in education ministry and actively involved in pastoral work. We take catechism classes, care for the women's group (Mahila Sangh), and make home visits.
In May 2025, our residence was shifted to the first floor of the School building from a few tin-roof rooms where sisters stayed for nearly three years. Inspired by our founder Fr. Theodosius Florentini's words, "I need sisters who understand the cross; with them, I can accomplish anything," we move forward amidst pioneering difficulties and challenges.
The School is steadily evolving, with a total strength of nearly 100 students for the 2025-2026 academic session, offering classes up to Class III. We've shifted all classes to our new, spacious, and well-ventilated School building. During the year, we conducted various co-curricular activities, including an Art and Craft Exhibition in November 2025, showcasing students' hidden talents, imagination, and creativity. In December 2025, the School celebrated its first annual day with vibrant cultural programs and awarded winners of co-curricular activities.
In the academic year 2026-2027, the School will be upgraded to Classes IV and V. Parents and guardians are delighted with the Holy Cross institution in their locality and are very cooperative and supportive. With their support and the efforts of our dedicated teachers, we are confident of achieving great heights in providing quality education.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Sr. Celine Antony, our previous Provincial Superior and her team, Sr. Sherin Jose, our Provincial Superior, and team for the constant guidance and supervision of the School building work. We also thank the Sisters of Holy Cross Convent, Pradhan Nagar, and other communities for their constant support and prayers. We sincerely value the trust and cooperation of parents and guardians; whose collaboration empowers our mission.
